During the E3 UploadVR Showcase yesterday, Australian developer Alta announced that their VR game A Township Tale is heading to Oculus Quest 1 and 2. The game, described as a “open world, multiplayer VR RPG”, was previously available for PC VR headsets and is now making the untethered jump to Oculus Quest platforms.
Some of A Township Tale‘s key features are as follows:
● Physical Crafting Professions – Adopt roles and operate physical tools and stations, maximizing the spatial range of VR controls.
● Levelling – Level up in specialized professions to unlock abilities in crafting and combat.
● Online Multiplayer – Join each other on the adventure and level up different skills to form a unique party.
● Personal Server – Oculus Quest players can start their own cloud-hosted server with an eight concurrent player limit. (NOTE: PC and Quest will not yet feature cross-play at launch.)
A Township Tale launches on the Oculus Store this July 15 for $9.99 and will be compatible with both Oculus Quest 1 and 2. Owners of the game will receive their own server along with 1,000 Talems (in-game currency) that they can use to purchase additional cosmetic items for their characters.
