UPDATE TWO: The latest news regarding this week’s GAME PS5 stock drop is that it has been delayed and will likely drop on June 4, or early next week. Weekend restocks of PlayStation 5 consoles remain very rare.
One PS5 stock that has been reported today comes from Box.co.uk, which has now reportedly sold out.
UPDATE: Following yesterday’s PS5 stock drop from Amazon, another UK retailer is expected to release PlayStation 5 consoles today. A new post from a reliable stock tracker suggests that a GAME restock is scheduled to begin on June 3, at around 9am BST. Gamers are being advised to try and use the Guest Checkout line, as this provides a better chance at success.
ORIGINAL: Leading UK retailers will be launching their latest PS5 restock events throughout June 2021, with the first next-gen consoles expected to drop very soon.
Reliable stock tracker accounts have been sharing their latest predictions, and it looks like multiple restock updates are coming this week.
Nothing was expected to happen on Bank Holiday Monday, but with that out of the way, gamers could get their first chance to buy a console very soon.
The PS5 Stock Alert UK Twitter account – which has provided plenty of solid information in the past – has shared the most information on what will be coming next.
And from what has been shared so far, Smyths, Amazon UK, ShopTo and John Lewis could be among the first to restock the PS5.
The earliest Amazon UK PS5 stock dates have listed as between June 2 and June 3. Meanwhile, the earliest Smyths PS5 stock dates have been listed as between June 3 and June 4.
ShopTo could restock between June 2 and June 4, and John Lewis could drop more next-gen consoles between June 2 and June 8.
A message from the PS5 Stock Alert offers this disclaimer, adding: “These dates are calculated based on previous restock patterns alongside some insider information, so, dates could change as we get closer to the restocks.
“Once we know a change has taken place, we will tweet it out. In conclusion, these dates are not a guarantee.”
This explains the wide range of dates being offered for this week and the next for console hunters to track.
Gamers have also been warned of morning drops in the UK this month, with Amazon and Smyths expected to update their sites from 8am onwards.
However, other stock tracker accounts have provided slightly different predictions, meaning it will be worth finding out all the latest news.
The PS5 Instant Twitter account on Twitter suggests that GAME will release stock between June 8th and June 10. Alternative dates include June 15 and June 17.
Meanwhile, John Lewis could drop between 8-10th June from 7am BST onwards.
PS5 Instant also suggests that this month’s PS5 stock drops will happen between June 3 and June 9 for Amazon UK and Smyths.
It should be noted that none of this information comes from official sources, which means that everything needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Finding out that more PlayStation stock is coming is important, but console hunters should also know the best ways to get stock from each platform.
Here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. More stock is expected before June 10.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. GAME is expected to restock the PlayStation 5 over the coming weeks.
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings. Argos is not expected to receive any more stock until later in June.
